[ Assignment ]

As part of bol’s recent visual identity refresh, I was tasked with redesigning one of their most recognized brand assets: the “vormentaal”. This visual language, built out of circles, represents what bol sells and stands for. They are used singularly or in patterns and are integral to branded materials like packaging, merchandise and banners.

My assignment was, firstly, to harmonize the “vormentaal”, addressing inconsistencies in their look and create a cohesive family that fits the updated identity and style values. Secondly, refresh the brand pattern while maintaining its recognizability.
